Certificates are presented to talented Senior High School students in recognition of creative talent demonstrated in Art, Dance, Drama, Literature, Music and Musical Theatre. An engraved Jefferson Cup is presented to the student who is the outstanding creative senior student.
S. C. BARTLETT PIANO SCHOLARSHIP
Recognition of exceptional motivation and talent is awarded to young pianists who are currently studying at the University of Kentucky. This award was created by Mrs. Joseph Kennedy in honor of her mother, Mrs. S. C. Bartlett.
THE MARY EVELYN ROGERS AWARD
The Mary Evelyn Rogers Award is given to recognize and encourage talent in young dancers. Nominations from members, community, friends or family are all considered.
BALLET UNDER THE STARS
An apparel scholarship awarded to a young dancer who is performing in the Pre-Show of "Ballet Under the Stars", an annual production by local and regional ballet dancers. This is in recognition of a developing artist's talent and hard work.
THE KATHERINE CALDWELL MEMORIAL AWARD
This award honors the memory of Kentucky Chapter member Katherine "Kitty" Caldwell, who was a faithful and generous patron of the arts in Lexington. Kitty attanded as many performances of all the arts that she possibly could, and gave great encouragement and support to young artists.
THE PEM KREMER MEMORIAL AWARD
This award was instituted in 2003 to support young writers and poets. Nominations from members, community, friends or family are all considered.
THE VISUAL ARTS AWARD
This award was instituted in 2003 to support young visual artists. Nominations from members, community, friends or family are all considered.
OUTSTANDING ART EDUCATOR AWARD
This award was instituted in 1998 to recognize and reward the work of dedicated mentors and teachers of young artists. recipients are selected by an NSAL nominating committee.
ARTIST PROMOTION
Performance opportunities in a variety of formats: showcases, gallery displays, and concerts provide a way to encourage and support young artists. NSAL Kentucky strives to provide a variety of resources, networking venues and mentorship possibilities to the developing artists of the Commonwealth.
